Young European Law Scholars Conference 2026

On June 18-19 2026 the 9th Young European Law Scholars Conference will take place at the MLU. This year's conference theme is "The EU’s Foreign and Security Policy: External Trade and Economic Security".

Location and Directions

The conference will take place in the "Hallischer Saal", which is located on the first floor in the Building "Burse zur Tulpe". Please also see the Campus Map as linked below to find the building at the university square.

Public Transport to the venue:
When you arrive at Halle (Saale) main station, there are two options. You may either take tram lines 2 or 5, which hold at the side entrance of the main station, to the stop "Joliot Curie Platz", or tram line 7, which stops in front of the main entrance of the main station, to the stop "Neues Theater".

Online Participation

While this year's YELS conference will primarily be an in-person-event, we will provide an online stream to watch. Further, the presentations will be uploaded on our university YouTube channel after the conference.

Campus Festival 2026

On 18 June 2026, the Campus Festival Halle will take place at the university's Heide Campus. The "Heide Campus Süd" is located about 20 minutes away from the conference venue and can be reached by tram from Joliot-Curie-Platz or the market square. The relevant stop is called "Straßburger Weg". The Festival starts at 4 pm, but you would be able to join after the end of Day 1 of the conference.

Tickets start at 19,90€.
